Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Support resident mobility and safety while promoting independence
- Observe and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff promptly
- Assist with meals, grooming, and toileting while preserving resident dignity
- Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care plans
Qualifications
- Valid GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working in long-term care or similar clinical environment
- Compassionate, patient-focused attitude with strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans and facility protocols consistently
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in basic nursing assistant duties and personal care
- Knowledge of infection control and safety best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
- Ability to observe, record, and report resident changes accurately
- Time management and teamwork in a fast-paced care setting
