Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the Urology surgeon in diagnosing and treating a wide range of urologic conditions
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments to guide care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment and care plans
- Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to inform clinical decisions
- Assist in urologic surgeries and office-based procedures with precision
- Provide clear, compassionate patient and family education about diagnoses and care plans
- Manage post-operative and follow-up care to ensure optimal recovery
- Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff for seamless patient experiences
- Adhere to universal precautions and OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards for safety
- Perform accurate clinical documentation and support department operations
Qualifications
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) — title required for this role
- Experience in urology, surgical assistance, or office-based procedures preferred
- Strong clinical documentation skills and familiarity with ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests
- Comfortable working in an environment with potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and communicable diseases (OSHA Category I)
- Demonstrated manual dexterity and ability with patient handling
- Ability to practice under a supervising physician in a physician office setting
- Must be authorized to work in the United States — this position is not accepting visa candidates
- Local candidates only — not open to those who commute more than 1 hour
- Not open to LOCUM or LOCUM-to-PERM arrangements; this is a permanent position
