Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor hemodynamics, ventilators, and advanced life support devices with accuracy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
• Perform timely assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to providers
• Administer medications, titrate infusions, and manage complex IV therapies safely
• Educate patients and families about condition, care plans, and discharge needs
• Respond quickly to emergencies and participate in code responses when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in California (required)
• Current BLS certification; ACLS required or strongly preferred
• Experience in adult ICU settings; previous critical care experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage ventilators, vasoactive drips, and complex monitoring
• Strong communication, prioritization, and teamwork skills
• Current immunizations and health screenings per facility policy

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of unit-specific orientation and competency validation

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and advanced patient monitoring
• Ventilator management and respiratory support knowledge
• Familiarity with vasoactive medications and titration protocols
• Strong charting skills and experience with electronic medical records
• Infection control, sterile technique, and ICU equipment competence
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and act decisively in fast-paced situations
