Shift Type: Monday-Friday, Day shift (hours vary); position is primarily day shift but requires mid-shift flexibility and Open Heart call availability as needed

Bill Rate: $50,000 (sign-on bonus)

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care as a member of the Open Heart Operating Room team
Prep and position patients, maintain sterile field, and assist surgeons during cardiac open-heart procedures
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiology, perfusionists, and the broader OR team to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes
Participate in preoperative and postoperative patient care and education for patients and their families
Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and quality standards while contributing to continuous improvement efforts
Support team growth and mentorship opportunities through the Clinical Ladder and peer collaboration

Qualifications

Current RN licensure required
3+ years of Operating Room experience required
Cardiac Open-Heart experience required
CVOR experience preferred
BSN preferred; candidates committed to obtaining BSN within three years of hire may be considered
Flexibility to work mid-shifts and take Open Heart call

Education

BSN preferred; commitment to obtain BSN within three years considered with relevant experience

Knowledge & Skills

Strong operating room and CVOR skills, especially in cardiac open-heart procedures
Excellent sterile technique and OR workflow familiarity
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary surgical teams
Comfort managing complex perioperative patient needs and high-acuity cases
Professional communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
