Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain a sterile field using impeccable sterile technique for every case
• Scrub for a broad range of procedures including general, gynecology, robotics, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, urology, burn, and trauma
• Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, anticipating needs, and ensuring smooth case flow
• Perform perioperative care tasks to support patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Document intraoperative activities accurately in the facility system and communicate effectively with the team
• Adapt to variable schedules and float to other departments as needed to support patient care

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with OR experience
• Minimum 2+ years of operating room experience as specified
• Comfortable working a variable schedule with call responsibilities
• Experience across a variety of service lines including general surgery, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastics, urology, burn, and trauma
• Familiarity with Cerner documentation preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Sterile technique and perioperative care expertise
• Broad surgical knowledge across multiple specialties
• Proficient as a scrub tech in high-acuity operating room settings
• Ability to work with robotics and specialty surgical equipment
• Familiarity with Cerner for documentation and charting
• Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in fast-paced environments
