Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures according to department protocols and regulatory standards
• Process and transmit high-quality images to PACS promptly and accurately
• Serve as the first-line imaging interface for patients and clinical customers—provide clear communication and compassionate care
• Participate actively in performance improvement and quality control (PI/QC) activities to improve patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with State and Federal regulations as well as HFAP/TJC/CMS requirements
• Document imaging studies and patient interactions thoroughly and maintain accurate records
• Support fluoroscopic exams and venipuncture duties when certified, and follow safety protocols at all times
• Complete required competency assessments including Prime Core Competencies and Specialty exams

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT-R credential (required)
• Current BCLS/BLS (AHA) certification (required)
• Graduate of a program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit (CDPH) — must obtain within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certificate — must obtain within 3 months of hire
• DCI/BVP certification listed as part of required credentials
• At least 1 year of radiology technologist experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills and comfort with PACS workflows
• Must meet required health screenings and immunizations (drug screen, TB, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hep B, influenza, fit test, etc.)

Education

• Graduate of a radiography program accredited by JRCERT or ABHES

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiographic procedures and positioning
• Image processing and transmission to PACS
• Quality control and performance improvement practices (PI/QC)
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulatory requirements
• Strong patient/customer interaction and communication skills
• Proficient computer literacy and electronic record-keeping
