Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise lead and senior technologists while fostering a positive, patient-centered team culture
• Manage daily staffing and productivity to meet budget and operational goals
• Oversee image quality control and enforce departmental policies and procedures
• Support program development and department performance improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with nursing, clerical staff, service engineers, and physicians to coordinate imaging services
• Act as a resource for education, provide training to patients, families, students, and staff
• Monitor regulatory compliance with Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, ACR standards and participate in quality improvement
• Evaluate departmental performance, report on service levels, and recommend resource allocation

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT) issued by the California Department of Health Services OR current ARRT license
• Current CPR certification
• Minimum five years of experience as a diagnostic radiologic technologist in an acute-care setting
• Minimum two years of supervisory experience in an acute-care setting
• Demonstrated leadership ability and experience with progressive discipline and staff development
• Desired: certification in a specialized area (NMTBC, MRI, etc.) and managerial experience

Education

• Associate degree preferred
• Required: CRT or ARRT certification
• Required: Current CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of radiographic exposure principles, radiation physics, and radiation protection
• Experience with image quality control and quality assurance/performance improvement
• Familiarity with Joint Commission, Title 17 & 22, and ACR regulatory standards
• Strong patient care, positioning, and communication skills across all age groups
• Proven ability to monitor, evaluate, and administer departmental resources effectively
• Excellent problem solving, delegation, and staff motivation skills
