Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert C-arm and O-arm coverage during operating room procedures to support surgical teams
• Perform intraoperative X-ray imaging accurately and safely for optimal patient outcomes
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesia, and nursing staff to ensure smooth procedural flow
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring functionality and adherence to safety protocols
• Participate in continuous education and training to adopt new techniques and technologies
• Respond to on-call requests and rotating weekend coverage with professionalism and promptness
• Document imaging studies and procedures clearly and timely, supporting patient records and continuity of care

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) with ARRT registration (RT(R))
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role — Level I Trauma or teaching hospital experience required/preferred
• Proven proficiency operating C-arm and O-arm imaging systems (must have experience level with 3s or 4s for C-arm and O-arm)
• Familiarity with perioperative/operating room procedures and surgical imaging workflow
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to work rotating weekends and take on-call responsibilities as needed

Education

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT RT(R))
• Current BLS certification
• State radiologic technologist license where applicable (as required by facility)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with C-arm and O-arm systems and intraoperative X-ray imaging
• Surgical imaging in Operating Room environments, including Level I Trauma cases
• Familiarity with Epic charting system (preferred)
• Experience or comfort with equipment brands such as GE, Medtronic, Stryker, Ziehm and CT Airo
• Equipment maintenance awareness and basic troubleshooting skills
• Clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to teach or mentor peers during procedures
