Shift Type: 3 x 12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; includes every other weekend; night shift (variable shifts possible)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, patient-centered critical care to adult ICU patients during night shifts
- Monitor and interpret complex hemodynamic data and respond to clinical changes quickly
- Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment with confidence
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate and support patients and families during acute care episodes
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Maine RN license (required)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Experience in ICU/critical care nursing (preferred)
- Comfort working 12-hour night shifts and covering every other weekend
- Influenza vaccination is mandated by the State of Maine
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills for critically ill patients
- Ventilator management and weaning experience
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive drips
- Good clinical judgment, prioritization, and rapid decision-making
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
- Familiarity with common ICU equipment and electronic charting systems
