Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (day shift); on-call rotations required (must be within a 30-minute radius). Days of week not specified.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform thorough peri-procedural patient assessments and medication reviews to ensure safety and excellent outcomes
- Prepare procedure equipment and create/maintain a sterile field for complex cardiac interventions
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic waveforms during left and right heart catheterizations
- Administer and manage complex medication infusions, including titration per protocol
- Assist physicians with insertion, setup and maintenance of devices such as IABP, Impella, Flow wire, Opsens and IVUS
- Safely remove arterial and venous sheaths following established guidelines and physician orders
- Provide procedural sedation safely, document per policy, and pass annual sedation competency
- Participate in on-call coverage and step in to support the team during staffing needs
Qualifications
- Current New Hampshire RN license or compact state license required
- ASN required; BSN preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
- 3-5 years critical care experience preferred for Cardiac Cath/Angiography Lab
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Basic Dysrhythmia preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- NIHSS certification preferred or to be obtained prior to completion of orientation
- CPI training preferred (to be completed within 6 months of hire); CPI advanced (ED/ICU) within 6 months
- Ability to safely administer procedural sedation and pass annual sedation exam
- Willingness to participate in call rotations and remain within a 30-minute radius when on call
Education
- ASN required
- BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and detailed pre-admission testing and medication review
- Expertise in sterile technique and procedural equipment setup
- Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of arterial/venous waveforms (including damping and ventriculization)
- Experience with arterial and venous sheath removal and management of anticoagulated patients
- Familiarity with IABP, Impella, Flow wire, Opsens, IVUS and periprocedural device support
- Radiation safety practices and appropriate personal protective attire
- Documentation excellence and clear communication with physicians and care teams
- Experience managing complex/critical care medication infusions and titration
