Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist licensed physical therapists in delivering skilled treatment plans to patients
• Provide hands-on therapeutic interventions and progress patients toward their goals
• Perform patient care tasks including transfers, gait training, and therapeutic exercise instruction
• Document patient treatment, progress, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient-centered care
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs and safe mobility techniques
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and clinical safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in California, or eligible to obtain licensure
• Available to start ASAP (position begins 2026-01-28)
• Able to commit to a 13-week contract with a 30-hour/week guarantee
• Strong patient care skills and a compassionate, team-oriented approach
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or obtained promptly upon hire

Education

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting (A.S.) or equivalent accredited PTA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Practical knowledge of therapeutic exercise, modalities, and mobility training
• Skilled in patient assessment, documentation, and treatment progression
• Comfortable working with a diverse adult patient population
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Familiarity with infection control and clinical safety procedures
