Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality endoscopy nursing care before, during, and after procedures to ensure patient comfort and safety
• Assess and monitor patients using bedside monitors and EKG equipment, responding promptly to changes
• Operate and support endoscopic procedural equipment and maintain sterile technique
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the Expanse electronic medical record
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and perioperative staff to coordinate smooth procedural flow
• Provide patient and family education about procedures, recovery, and follow-up care
• Step in confidently during emergencies and apply ACLS/BLS skills when needed

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience (experience: 2)
• Minimum 1 year of endoscopy experience required
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Familiarity with Expanse electronic documentation system
• Comfort working in a fast-paced endoscopy unit with 1:1 or 1:2 patient ratios

Knowledge & Skills

• Proven endoscopy procedural experience including colonoscopies, upper endoscopies, and ERCP support
• Skilled with bedside monitoring and EKG interpretation
• Knowledge of endoscopic equipment handling and infection control practices
• Strong documentation and charting skills in Expanse
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities in perioperative settings
