Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond to changes with clinical judgment
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
• Document patient care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity
• Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, healing environment

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Tennessee or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred or will be considered a plus
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
• Ability to perform clinical assessments, interpret data, and prioritize care
• Skilled in medication administration, wound care, and post-operative management
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing patient needs
