Shift Type: Days as scheduled by facility, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Day shift (12-hour day shifts; specific days vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care on the medical-surgical unit
- Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and respond to changes with clinical judgment
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and update individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, procedures, and discharge plans
- Document patient care thoroughly and communicate handoffs clearly to ensure continuity
- Advocate for patient needs and contribute to a positive, healing environment
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license in Tennessee or ability to obtain state licensure promptly
- Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- ACLS and other specialty certifications preferred or will be considered a plus
- Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
- Ability to perform clinical assessments, interpret data, and prioritize care
- Skilled in medication administration, wound care, and post-operative management
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing patient needs
