Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
• Educate patients and families on condition, treatment and discharge planning
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; Tennessee RN or compact license preferred
• Minimum 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS or specialty certifications are a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently on night shift and collaborate with team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and interventions
• Proficiency in medication administration, IV therapy and wound care
• Experience with patient monitoring and responding to changes in condition
• Good documentation skills and comfort using electronic medical records
• Excellent communication, time management and patient education abilities
