Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and respond proactively to rhythm changes
• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care for telemetry patients, including medication administration and IV therapy
• Perform thorough assessments and document patient status and interventions in the EHR
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to implement care plans
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge instructions to support recovery
• Prioritize patient safety by recognizing and escalating changes in condition promptly
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and contribute to a positive team culture

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas or multistate compact RN license
• Minimum 2 years of recent telemetry nursing experience (per posting requirement)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Demonstrated ability to interpret cardiac rhythms and manage telemetry equipment
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work independently on night shifts
• Up-to-date immunizations and ability to meet employer onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

• Cardiac monitoring and telemetry rhythm interpretation
• Medication administration and IV management
• Patient assessment and critical thinking in acute care settings
• Electronic health record (EHR) documentation and charting accuracy
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
