Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage complex critically ill patients with attention and clinical ownership
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators and advanced respiratory support
• Continuously monitor and interpret invasive hemodynamic data to guide care
• Respond quickly and effectively to codes, including intubation and resuscitation
• Perform trauma-level interventions consistent with a Level 1 trauma environment
• Document care accurately and efficiently in the Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Maintain safe patient ratios (typically 2:1) and prioritize patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) credential — RN required
• Direct ICU experience — candidates with 3+ years of ICU experience are required
• Experience with ventilator management and invasive hemodynamic monitoring
• Comfort responding to codes, including code intubation and code resuscitation
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Trauma experience (TNCC/TCAR) and bilingual English/Spanish skills are preferred
• Willingness to work night shifts and rotate weekends as scheduled

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and critical respiratory support
• Invasive hemodynamic monitoring and gtt/drip management
• Familiarity with TABLO, Belmont/Level 1 rapid infuser, Camino/Integra ICP monitoring, Flo-trac and Rotoprone
• Code leadership skills: intubation and resuscitation procedures
• Experience documenting and navigating Meditech EMR
• Comfort working in a Level 1 trauma/ICU environment with 2:1 patient ratios
