Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM; typically 3x12s per week with every-other-weekend coverage; night shift (rotating schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor post-operative orthopedic patients to ensure safe recovery
- Provide compassionate post-operative care including pain management and mobility support
- Perform thorough documentation using Meditech to maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with surgeons, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Lead bedside shift reports and engage in AIDET communications to enhance patient experience
- Conduct safety rounding and follow established protocols to maintain patient safety
- Educate patients and families on post-op care, discharge instructions, and home safety
Qualifications
- Current RN license (valid in the state where you will practice)
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, ideally in med-surg or orthopedic care
- Experience caring for post-operative orthopedic patients
- Positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and excellent patient communication
- Meditech experience preferred
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Med Surg and orthopedic nursing principles and post-op care protocols
- Proficiency with Meditech documentation systems
- Patient assessment and clinical decision making for post-operative patients
- Familiarity with general nursing equipment used for hip, knee, spine and ortho care
- Strong time management, prioritization, and teamwork skills
- Patient experience practices including bedside shift report and AIDET
