Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychological evaluations and assessments to inform care
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that make a real difference
- Provide individual and group therapy focused on evidence-based approaches
- Perform crisis assessments and intervene appropriately to ensure safety
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary correctional staff to coordinate care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and clinical records
- Participate in case conferences and contribute to continuous quality improvement
Qualifications
- Licensed Psychologist or eligibility to obtain licensure in California preferred
- Experience in mental health settings; correctional or forensic experience is a strong plus
- Skilled in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility clearance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and teamwork
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Education
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred; master's-level clinicians with appropriate licensure may be considered
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with psychological assessment tools and diagnostic interviewing
- Knowledge of evidence-based therapies such as CBT and trauma-informed care
- Crisis intervention and risk assessment skills
- Ability to work effectively within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent documentation and clinical note-taking practices
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with diverse populations
