Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations to inform care plans
• Provide individual and group therapy tailored to the needs of the correctional population
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and monitor progress
• Perform risk assessments and crisis intervention to ensure safety and stability
• Collaborate with correctional staff and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation and comply with facility protocols
• Contribute to program development, trainings, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred
• Licensed Psychologist in California, or license-eligible with plan to obtain licensure
• Experience or strong interest in correctional, forensic, or behavioral health settings preferred
• Demonstrated skills in assessment, diagnosis, and evidence-based psychotherapy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clinical documentation and team collaboration
• Ability to pass facility-required background checks and comply with institutional policies

Education

• Doctoral degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in clinical assessment tools and psychological testing
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care and evidence-based therapeutic modalities
• Familiarity with risk assessment and suicide prevention strategies
• Ability to adapt interventions to a correctional environment
• Strong case formulation, treatment planning, and progress-monitoring skills
• Comfortable collaborating with security staff and multidisciplinary teams
