Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in accordance with facility protocols
- Administer medications and treatments accurately, documenting each intervention
- Perform timely clinical assessments and communicate changes in condition to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary staff to develop and follow individualized care plans
- Maintain clear, professional documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Support patient and family education with patience and clarity
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or eligible to obtain licensure in New Mexico
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification or willing to obtain prior to start
- Comfortable working scheduled Thursday, Friday, Saturday 6:00 AM–6:30 PM shifts
- Excellent communication skills and a focus on teamwork and patient-centered care
- Prior LPN experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited LPN/Vocational Nursing program (diploma or certificate)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and accurate documentation
- Strong clinical assessment and vital-sign monitoring abilities
- Familiarity with infection control and safety protocols
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during long shifts
- Compassionate patient interaction and family communication
- Comfortable using electronic health records and charting systems
