Candidate Pay Rate: $39 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Room patients and prepare them for exams, ensuring a smooth clinic flow
- Collect and accurately document patient information and charts
- Perform point-of-care testing (POCT) and specimen collection following protocol
- Administer immunizations and injections as ordered within scope of practice
- Assist providers and nurses with procedures, minor office surgeries, and radiology as appropriate
- Operate and monitor EKG machine, cardiac monitor, and manual defibrillator when needed
- Train and lead Clinical Assistant I and II staff, supporting a cohesive team
- Recognize and report changes in patient condition and safety concerns promptly
Qualifications
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) national certification required (or equivalent nursing degree as noted)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting
- High school diploma or GED required; nursing degree from an accredited institution may substitute
- Ability to pass fingerprint/background clearance process per client requirements
- Strong communication, organizational, and patient-service skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) national certification required
- Nursing degree from an accredited institution may replace CMA requirement
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with EMR / medical databases and accurate data entry
- Skilled in phlebotomy, specimen collection, and POCT procedures
- Knowledge of clinic workflows, age-appropriate vital signs, and medical terminology
- Comfortable operating basic diagnostic equipment (BP cuff, pulse oximeter, EKG)
- Ability to train others on EMR systems and clinic processes
- Ability to recognize and respond appropriately in emergency situations
