Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient electrophysiology care and timely management of adult/geriatric patients
• Perform non-invasive EP procedures including electrical cardioversions, EKG interpretation, tilt table testing and other electrophysiology procedures
• Handle an average clinic load (approximately 20 clinic patients per day) and support inpatient needs (average admissions reported)
• Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage with a 1:4 call ratio to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with the cardiology group and other specialists at the hospital to coordinate complex care
• Supervise and mentor an advanced practice provider during coverage to maintain high quality and efficient patient care
• Document patient encounters and care plans using the EPIC electronic medical record

Qualifications

• Physician specializing in Electrophysiology (locum coverage role)
• Comfort and experience with inpatient care and 24-hour on-call responsibilities
• Demonstrated experience performing electrical cardioversions, EKGs, tilt table testing and other electrophysiology procedures
• Comfort supervising advanced practice providers during coverage
• Familiarity with EPIC documentation preferred
• Available to begin coverage on or about 2026-07-01 and able to complete credentialing (estimated ~120 days)

Education

• Medical degree with appropriate training in Cardiology/Electrophysiology (Physician level role)
• Relevant board certification or eligibility in Cardiology/Electrophysiology encouraged

Knowledge & Skills

• Electrophysiology clinical skills and procedures
• Non-invasive cardiology testing and interpretation including EKG and tilt table testing
• Electrical cardioversion proficiency
• Inpatient care workflows and acute cardiac management
• Experience using EPIC electronic medical record
• Ability to manage a busy clinic and inpatient admission volume efficiently
