Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate resident communication and swallowing function using evidence-based assessments
- Develop individualized, goal-driven treatment plans that support meaningful progress
- Provide therapeutic interventions for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia
- Collaborate actively with nursing, therapy colleagues, and families to coordinate care
- Document assessments, plans, and progress clearly and timely in the medical record
- Educate caregivers and interdisciplinary team members to support carryover of skills
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure smooth transitions of care
Qualifications
- Massachusetts state license in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
- ASHA CCC-SLP preferred
- Clinical experience in adult/rehabilitation or long-term care settings preferred (open to new grads with strong clinical skills)
- Strong documentation and assessment skills, comfortable with EMR charting
- Clear background check and required health screenings per facility policy
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in dysphagia evaluation and management and safe-swallow strategies
- Assessment and treatment for speech, language, cognition, and voice disorders
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) approaches
- Strong interdisciplinary communication and family education skills
- Outcome-driven goal writing and progress measurement
- Comfortable working in rehab and long-term care environments
