Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves patient dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe patient transfers and positioning to prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate clearly with the care team
• Follow infection control practices and help maintain a clean, safe environment
• Build rapport with patients and families to support emotional well being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Comfortable with 12-hour day shifts and physical aspects of patient care
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Prior experience in long-term care or acute care is a plus but new CNAs are welcome

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Completed accredited CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic patient care principles and infection prevention
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
