Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patient status, monitor vital signs, and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies safely and accurately
• Manage ventilators and advanced life support equipment with confidence
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members on care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses clearly in the EMR
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatments, and discharge plans
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license (California license required or eligible)
• Critical care experience in an ICU setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Comfort with ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and titratable drips
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Prior experience in adult intensive care and emergency response
• Skill with ventilator settings, arterial lines, and central line care
• Proficiency in medication administration and titration of critical meds
• Accurate, timely electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Ability to prioritize under pressure and deliver calm, decisive care
