Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKG changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications safely and document care in the electronic health record thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Perform accurate assessments and develop effective, patient-centered plans of care
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and discharge planning in a clear, respectful way

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or eligible compact licensure
• Telemetry nursing experience preferred; demonstrated comfort with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Current BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a patient-first mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
• Proficient in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Effective clinical documentation and time management skills
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and escalate changes in patient condition
• Comfort using electronic health records and clinical technology
