Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during a 12-hour day shift
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings clearly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and in accordance with orders
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
• Educate patients and families about condition-specific care and discharge instructions
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns promptly
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid for practice in California
• Active BLS certification; ACLS or PALS as relevant to the unit encouraged
• Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced clinical setting
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and a collaborative mindset
• MST experience or exposure is a plus (if you have it, tell us about it!)

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid fundamentals in medical-surgical nursing and bedside assessment
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
• Patient education and discharge planning skills
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage multiple patients safely
• Teamwork, professionalism, and a calm approach under pressure
