Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered critical care in the ICU setting
- Assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition with skill and compassion
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
- Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced nursing interventions
- Document patient care accurately and communicate handoffs clearly
- Educate patients and families about care plans and provide emotional support during stressful times
- Participate in unit-based performance improvement and safety initiatives
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California
- ICU clinical experience preferred; ability to work independently in high-acuity settings
- Current BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and providing critical care
- Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN). BSN preferred.
Knowledge & Skills
- Critical care assessment and monitoring
- Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy expertise
- Effective communication and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Basic EMR navigation and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize in fast-paced, high-acuity environments
