Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate bedside care to residents and patients with respect and dignity
- Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients
- Document care accurately and timely in accordance with facility policies
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) — California certification preferred
- Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or obtained upon hire
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
- Comfort working overnight (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic bedside nursing care and ADLs
- Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
- Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
- Collaborative attitude and clear verbal/written communication
