Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive patient care through accurate medication order entry and verification
• Check and dispense medications safely and efficiently to support inpatient care
• Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic and oncology as scheduled, delivering high-quality outpatient care
• Support diverse patient populations from geriatrics to pediatrics with clinical expertise and compassion
• Collaborate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, providers and nursing staff to ensure seamless medication management
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy laws and facility policies
• Contribute to medication safety and quality improvement initiatives to make care better each day

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist license, or eligible for reciprocation in PA within 90 days of hire
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required
• Pharmacy residency preferred if rotating into ambulatory clinic roles
• BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for anticoagulation clinic rotations; maintain renewal every two years
• Strong communication, teamwork and ability to work with multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Retail pharmacy experience will not be considered

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Proven skill in medication order entry, verification and dispensing workflows
• Experience in acute care pharmacy practices and inpatient medication management
• Familiarity with ambulatory clinic services (anticoagulation, oncology) is a plus
• Attention to detail, clinical judgment and a patient-centered approach
• Ability to collaborate effectively with providers, nurses, technicians and medical sales representatives
