Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform CT and MRI procedures following established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (MRI, CT, X-ray, C-arm, fluoroscopy) and escalate to service engineers when needed
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort, practicing radiation safety (ALARA) and infection control
- Document accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure details and charge capture
- Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation and understanding
- Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; contribute to a collaborative learning environment
- Maintain supply inventory, order needed items, and support clerical tasks when required
- Participate in departmental quality improvement, required education, and compliance activities
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI credentials required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
- Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
- Able to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and meet Employee Health requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care with strong communication and patient education skills
- Image acquisition skills across CT, MRI, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
- Radiation safety knowledge (ALARA) and adherence to regulatory standards
- Familiarity with PACS, RIS, HIS and EHR documentation workflows
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment per manufacturer recommendations
- Cross-training aptitude for modalities such as DEXA and Mammography; OR imaging and C-arm experience a plus
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
