Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and MRI procedures following established protocols to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment (MRI, CT, X-ray, C-arm, fluoroscopy) and escalate to service engineers when needed
• Prioritize patient safety and comfort, practicing radiation safety (ALARA) and infection control
• Document accurate patient records in the EHR, including procedure details and charge capture
• Educate patients about procedures and equipment to ensure cooperation and understanding
• Assist, train, and cross-train imaging staff; contribute to a collaborative learning environment
• Maintain supply inventory, order needed items, and support clerical tasks when required
• Participate in departmental quality improvement, required education, and compliance activities

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) with CT and MRI credentials required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtain within 90 days of hire)
• Preferred: Two (2) years’ experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI
• Able to pass background check, pre-employment drug screen, and meet Employee Health requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient-centered care with strong communication and patient education skills
• Image acquisition skills across CT, MRI, X-ray, and fluoroscopy
• Radiation safety knowledge (ALARA) and adherence to regulatory standards
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS, HIS and EHR documentation workflows
• Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot imaging equipment per manufacturer recommendations
• Cross-training aptitude for modalities such as DEXA and Mammography; OR imaging and C-arm experience a plus
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently
