Roles & Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver excellent patient care
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and in line with standards and state practice laws
• Document care clearly and accurately according to standards of care
• Participate in departmental performance improvement and shared governance activities
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance across units to support patients' longitudinal plans of care
• Apply critical thinking to maintain patient safety and escalate concerns through the proper chain of command
• Contribute to professional nursing practice activities and peer review to help the team continuously improve

Qualifications

• Active WI RN licensure required
• BLS, ACLS, PALS required
• NIHSS certification required
• TNCC or TNS required (one of the two acceptable)
• Flu vaccination and education verification required prior to start
• Experience in Emergency Room nursing strongly preferred
