Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate critical care to oncology/BMT ICU patients
• Manage ventilators and BiPAP settings to support complex respiratory needs
• Titrate vasoactive drips and maintain precise IV pump/A-line management
• Provide tracheostomy care, dressing changes, and total care for critically ill patients
• Monitor hemodynamics and participate in CRRT care when indicated
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintain safe patient ratios (typically 2:1) and follow unit policies and shift reporting procedures

Qualifications

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) credential — must be in good standing
• ACLS and BLS required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience (experience with ventilated patients and titrating drips emphasized)
• Hands-on experience with ventilator management, BiPAP, A-line monitoring, and IV pumps
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• CRRT and transplant (kidney, pancreas, liver) experience are nice-to-have
• Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with strong communication and rapport with physicians

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and oncology/BMT patient needs
• Ventilator and BiPAP management
• Medication titration and vasoactive drip management
• Tracheostomy care and advanced airway management
• Hemodynamic monitoring and A-line/IV pump use
• Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) familiarity
• Meditech EMR and Flow-track documentation
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-acuity ICU settings
