Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform general x-ray studies accurately and with compassionate patient care
- Operate and troubleshoot primarily GE imaging equipment in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Document imaging exams and patient data in Meditech promptly and accurately
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to ensure timely diagnostic imaging
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and maintain ARRT professional standards
- Support unit workflows, including floating when needed, to keep patient care moving smoothly
- Provide clear patient communication and a positive patient experience during every interaction
Qualifications
- ARRT R.T. (R) certification (required)
- Current Florida radiologic technologist license (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital radiology experience (must have as stated in posting)
- Experience with Meditech and familiarity with GE imaging equipment preferred
Education
- Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program (or equivalent)
- High school diploma or GED plus ARRT certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of general x-ray procedures and protocols
- Comfortable using Meditech documentation system for charting and image tracking
- Familiarity with GE imaging equipment and routine equipment checks
- Excellent patient positioning and image acquisition skills
- Solid understanding of radiation safety and ARRT standards
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills in a busy hospital environment
