Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage emergency patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Deliver high-quality nursing interventions, including medication administration and critical care procedures
• Lead and participate in resuscitations and emergency team responses with calm efficiency
• Document patient care thoroughly using Meditech to ensure continuity and compliance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, techs, and ancillary services
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care in a compassionate way
• Adhere to unit policies, infection control, and safety guidelines to maintain a safe clinical environment
• Support unit staffing needs, including floating when required, to keep patient care seamless

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with 2+ years specialty experience in Emergency Nursing
• BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required
• NIH certification required
• Experience with Meditech preferred
• Comfort working rotating 12-hour night shifts and covering every-other-weekend

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong emergency nursing assessment and triage skills
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar electronic documentation systems
• Ability to manage high-acuity and trauma patients with confidence
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced clinical settings
• Skill in pediatric and adult life support protocols
• Attention to detail for accurate charting and medication administration
