Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess speech, language, cognitive-communication and swallowing function using evidence-based tools
- Develop individualized treatment plans that set clear, measurable goals
- Deliver engaging, patient-centered therapy for a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Educate patients, families and caregivers to support carryover and progress
- Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care efforts
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and uphold clinic standards
Qualifications
- Active California Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility to obtain state licensure
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience evaluating and treating speech, language and swallowing disorders
- Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and adapt to varied settings
- Current professional liability insurance (if required by client) and ability to complete credentialing
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in assessment and treatment planning for pediatric and adult populations
- Knowledge of dysphagia evaluation and management
- Proficient in evidence-based therapeutic approaches and progress measurement
- Comfortable with electronic medical record documentation and telehealth as needed
- Excellent communication, organization and time-management skills
- Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage patients and families
