Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, rotating schedule including weekends (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $46 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality progressive care nursing for solid organ transplant and PCU patients, ensuring safety and dignity at every step
- Monitor telemetry and assess changes in patient condition, escalating concerns to the transplant team as needed
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in Meditech with attention to detail
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, transplant coordinators, and support staff to coordinate patient-centered care
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and rapid changes in patient status, using ACLS/BLS skills when required
- Educate patients and families on pre- and post-transplant care, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
- Manage time and priorities efficiently to maintain estimated patient ratios (approximately 1:4) while delivering compassionate care
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for the assignment location (Texas) or compact license where applicable
- Minimum 1 year of recent acute care or PCU experience (solid organ transplant experience strongly preferred)
- Current BLS certification (required) and ACLS certification (required)
- Proven time management skills and ability to work independently on night shift
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and Meditech EMR documentation
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN licensure
Knowledge & Skills
- Progressive Care (PCU) nursing and telemetry monitoring
- Solid organ transplant patient care and perioperative knowledge
- Meditech electronic medical record proficiency
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate clearly
