Location: Dallas, TX
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, five 8-hour day shifts per week (5x8s Days). Exact daily start/end times to be confirmed by the facility.
Candidate Pay Rate: $87 - $60.9 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' functional abilities and design individualized OT treatment plans
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve activities of daily living and independence
- Use clinical reasoning to adapt activities, equipment, and environments for safety and success
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies to support recovery and home safety
- Document treatment progress accurately and timely in the facility electronic medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and discharge planning
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain professional standards
Qualifications
- Current Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Texas or eligibility to obtain one quickly
- Degree in Occupational Therapy (OT, MOT, or OTD) from an accredited program
- Active certification (NBCOT preferred) or pursuing certification
- Clinical experience in acute care, inpatient rehab, home health, or similar settings preferred
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Willingness to complete a 13-week contract assignment and provide high-quality patient care
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's (MOT) or Doctorate (OTD) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment skills for ADLs, IADLs, and functional mobility
- Proficiency with activity-based interventions, therapeutic use of self, and adaptive equipment
- Skilled in splinting, positioning, cognitive-perceptual approaches, and energy conservation techniques
- Clear, timely documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Time management and caseload prioritization to meet patient needs efficiently
