Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate and assess patients to determine occupational therapy needs and goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize function
- Use a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to support patient progress
- Collaborate with the referring physician and rehabilitation team to coordinate care
- Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in a timely and professional manner
- Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and home programs to support independence
Qualifications
- Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Knowledge of and practice in accordance with the State Practice Act
- Experience performing patient evaluations and creating treatment plans
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
Education
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient evaluation and clinical assessment techniques
- Treatment planning and therapeutic procedures
- Use and fitting of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
- Working knowledge of the State Practice Act and regulatory requirements
- Ability to document care and communicate effectively with physicians and team members
