Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care nursing to neuro and mixed ICU patients, focusing on safety and excellent outcomes
• Perform and support advanced procedures including intubation, central line and arterial line placement, and EVD care as appropriate
• Monitor complex hemodynamics and titrate therapies using standard ICU equipment and protocols
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the EMR (Meditech) to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy and specialty services to coordinate patient-centered care
• Advocate for patients and families, communicating clearly and compassionately during critical moments
• Contribute to a positive unit culture by being accountable, reliable and an engaged team player

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (active) — core requirement for the role
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience (required)
• ACLS certification (required)
• Experience or competency with intubation, central line and arterial line care and EVD patient management
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• Oncology or neuro ICU experience preferred
• Ability to work the assigned 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend coverage requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with standard ICU equipment and monitoring
• Competence in airway management and invasive line care
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic medical records
• Strong assessment, prioritization and clinical decision-making skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Comfort working with estimated 2:1 patient ratios in a 16-bed unit
