Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the cost accounting and decision support systems used for service line profitability and P&L reporting
• Publish monthly service line and physician practice P&Ls and create actionable practice scorecards
• Lead financial feasibility analyses using STRATA to evaluate ROI, NPV, IRR and other capital project metrics
• Oversee productivity systems and train managers to interpret and use productivity and decision support tools
• Produce reports for external rating agencies and support annual audits, cost report filings and GME reporting
• Mentor and provide day-to-day guidance to the supervisor of decision support and special projects analyst
• Support software implementations and provide oversight for ERP components and leasing software
• Partner with clinical and operational leaders to review variances, develop improvement plans, and validate cost structures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required)
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and/or decision support (required)
• Hands-on experience with STRATA financial software or a similar decision support/feasibility tool
• Demonstrated healthcare finance experience, ideally in a hospital or health system setting
• Experience producing service line P&Ls, financial reporting, and supporting external audits
• Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration
• Preferred: Financial and/or healthcare certifications (e.g., HFMA, CPA, or similar)
• This is an on-site management role in Dover, DE — ability to work on-site is required

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• Master’s Degree in Business Administration or Health Administration (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Cost accounting and budget development expertise
• Service line profitability analysis and P&L preparation
• Proficiency with STRATA (rolling forecast and feasibility modules) and decision support systems
• Financial forecasting and financial feasibility analysis
• Familiarity with physician reimbursement and bundled payments
• Experience with productivity systems, ERP oversight and leasing software
• Strong reporting skills for internal leadership and external rating agencies
• Excellent communication, mentoring and cross-functional collaboration skills
