Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients using sound clinical reasoning to determine physical therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that drive patient progress
• Provide hands-on and therapeutic interventions across inpatient, swing bed, outpatient, and skilled nursing settings
• Document clinical findings and treatment progress accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
• Educate patients and families to support safe discharge and ongoing recovery
• Maintain compliance with California and federal PT regulatory requirements
• Engage in professional development to stay current with best practices

Qualifications

• Active California Physical Therapy License in good standing
• Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 1+ year of experience in acute care, swing bed/skilled nursing, or outpatient settings
• Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
• Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations and diagnoses
• Commitment to ongoing professional development

Education

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
