Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care in the emergency department during assigned per diem shifts
• Perform rapid triage and prioritize patient needs in a fast-paced ER environment
• Administer medications, treatments, and procedures following facility protocols
• Communicate clearly and professionally with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety, infection control, and comfort while maintaining situational awareness

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse — current active RN status (California licensure preferred)
• Experience working in an Emergency Room (ER) environment
• Ability to work the specified per diem shift on 2026-03-14 (Saturday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications (ACLS/PALS) a plus
• Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in fast-paced settings

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency triage and rapid assessment
• Stabilization and basic emergency interventions
• Proficient clinical documentation and EHR use
• Effective patient and family education under stress
• Ability to prioritize multiple patients and tasks
• Collaborative teamwork and clear handoff communication
