Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care to patients, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
• Assist nurses with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
• Document patient observations and report changes to the nursing team
• Support patients and families with kindness, clear communication, and respect

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (California)
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and flexible per diem schedules
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
• Ability to perform physical aspects of patient care safely
• Comfortable with documentation and following facility policies
• Background check and any required health screenings as per facility policy

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on patient care including bathing, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Taking and recording accurate vital signs
• Basic infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Clear, compassionate communication with patients, families, and staff
• Time management and the ability to prioritize patient needs
• Basic charting and documentation practices
