Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care and assessment
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond quickly to arrhythmias and clinical changes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while documenting thoroughly
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on condition management, discharge plans, and follow-up care
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN license where applicable
• Telemetry experience or comfort monitoring cardiac patients
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment skills in acute care settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to variable schedules

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of cardiac rhythms
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Electronic medical record documentation
• Clinical assessment, triage and early recognition of patient deterioration
• Patient education and discharge planning basics
• Infection prevention and safety best practices
