Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages
- Perform thorough assessments, prioritize interventions, and collaborate with the ED team
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Document patient care clearly and communicate changes to providers
- Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
- Act swiftly in high-pressure situations while maintaining patient safety and dignity
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact RN privileges as applicable
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS preferred or obtainable upon hire
- Previous emergency department or acute care experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and triage skills in emergency settings
- Familiarity with ED workflows, triage, and emergency protocols
- Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
- Comfortable with electronic medical records and timely documentation
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and make sound clinical judgments under pressure
