Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients — assist with ADLs like bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report any changes to the nursing team
- Support safe patient transfers and ensure proper use of mobility aids
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and observations
- Help create a comfortable, dignified environment that supports recovery
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver coordinated care
- Follow infection control protocols to keep patients and staff safe
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in California (required)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Completion of an approved CNA training program
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screen
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
- Flexible availability to work per-diem shifts
Education
- High school diploma or GED and completion of a state-approved CNA program
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) and basic patient care
- Comfortable taking vital signs and recognizing clinical changes
- Knowledge of infection control and patient safety practices
- Reliable documentation and time-management skills
- Team player who communicates clearly with care teams and families
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
