Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and triage patients in the emergency department quickly and accurately
- Deliver high-quality nursing care including medication administration and IV therapy
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient care
- Document patient status and interventions clearly in the electronic health record
- Provide patient and family education with compassion and clarity
- Respond to emergencies and acute changes in patient condition with confidence
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred
- Previous emergency department nursing experience preferred
- Strong IV skills and comfort with urgent care procedures
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage and emergency assessment
- IV insertion and medication administration
- Cardiac monitoring and basic arrhythmia recognition
- Electronic health record documentation
- Calm, efficient workflow in high-acuity environments
- Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
