Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate, respectful bedside care that preserves dignity
• Document patient interactions clearly in charts and handoffs
• Support nurses and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
• Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns when appropriate

Qualifications

• Current CNA / Certified Nursing Assistant certification (California) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or required by facility
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, TB test, and required immunizations
• Comfortable with night shift duties and providing hands-on patient care
• Reliable transportation and punctual attendance for scheduled shifts
• Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient care and activities of daily living
• Proficient in taking and recording vital signs
• Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
• Clear documentation and basic charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Time management and teamwork to support nursing staff
