Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to patients including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
• Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics to protect patients and yourself
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Support patients with activities of daily living while preserving dignity and independence
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and the clinical team to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in California (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing direct patient care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively on a care team
• Able to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
• Reliable, compassionate, and patient-focused with good time-management

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care techniques and activities of daily living
• Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Understanding of infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to assist with safe patient transfers and mobility
• Good interpersonal skills for working with patients and interdisciplinary teams
• Basic charting and documentation skills
